I’ve been so eager to post about this make. It has to be one of my favourites – and that includes all sewing and knitting. There’s something really special about the Louise Pullover!
I know bobbles aren’t for everyone, but I absolutely love them. In the right colour yarn, they can be so cute and whimsical. I think this Gilliat de rerum natura in Cedre really fit the bill. It’s a rustic worsted weight yarn that yields a really hearty fabric. I feel like this sweater will last a very long time with proper care. Let’s take a closer look at those bobbles:

The Louise Pullover by Northside Knit Co. is worked in the round top down and includes some lovely shaping details in the arms and neckline. It took me roughly two months to complete, although I don’t measure the success of a project based on time. I enjoyed every minute with this one (even sleeve island). I made a size 3, which I feared was a bit small as I was working past the yoke. In hindsight, it was the perfect fit for me. I don’t think I’d want it to be too oversized with the bobbles. For reference, I’m 5’9 and usually wear a shirt size M/L, depending on the store.

Perhaps it’s the colour choice, but this sweater also gives me very festive vibes. It will certainly be a staple for years to come! If bobbles are your thing, I definitely recommend this pattern.
Happy making,
Jackie
