I haven’t posted once this year, which is a bit wild considering I’ve been making a lot. That’s pretty telling of what life has been like lately. Making never feels like a chore, but documenting everything can feel daunting when I’m busy. Although I would never dream of NOT documenting my projects. What’s the saying? “Were you really a joy to have in class, or are you a first born daughter with an undiagnosed anxiety disorder?” Is that really even a saying or my life motto? Anyways, I knit… a lot.
I knit for my daughter:

The Basic Doodle by Jamie Lomax

The Daily Socks by Summer Lee in Knitting Loft Boots Yarn (Potpourri)
I knit for my husband:

The Afterthought Heel by Summer Lee in Drops Fabel (Shoreline)
And I knit for me, of course:

Vest No. 1 by My Favourite Things Knitwear in Lion Brand Fishermen’s Wool (Natural)

Colorwork Cuff Club by Summer Lee in Knitting Loft Boots Yarn (Candy Floss)

Upper left: Colorwork Cuff Club by Summer Lee in The Plucky Knitter Primo Fingering (Bastille)
Upper right: Colorwork Cuff Club by Summer Lee in Knitting Loft Boots Yarn (Candy Floss)
Lower left: The Afterthought Heel by Summer Lee in The Cozy Knitter Bliss (Kiss the Girl)
Lower right: Hibernal Socks by Summer Lee The Plucky Knitter Primo Fingering (Ain’t No Sunshine)
I also sewed a lot, but that felt very functional. Truthfully, I just needed more clothes to wear to work. I didn’t even capture photos of my makes, but I hope to start doing more pattern reviews in the future.
I can’t wait to write about my return to an old hobby (“old hobby” doesn’t sound very nice, but I promise it is) that has been taking up all of my spare time. I don’t have a lot of time for hobbies these days, but I always try to carve out a few minutes for creativity each day. It’s so important to remember what feeds your soul.
Happy making,
Jackie
